Our Products are Now Certified Organic!

Emmy's Organics is proud to announce that all of our products are now Certified Organic! 

Emmy's has always shared the same health and environmentally conscious mentality as our consumers. Emmy's prides itself on its company consciousness. From in-house operations like composting, recycling and re-using to the types of packaging used, Emmy's is constantly working to improve and reduce its environmental impact while providing a healthier snacking alternative that meets the high standards and needs of our customers. 

Emmy's has always been committed to sourcing the highest quality vegan, gluten-free and non-GMO ingredients for all of it's products. All Emmy's products were made exclusively using organic ingredients prior to our organic certification. In an effort to reflect our commitment to continue providing the highest quality products to our customers, our facility has now been organically certified by the Baystate Organic Certifiers (BOC) certifying agency. We meet all of the criteria set forth by the USDA to produce, package, and sell our organic certified products.

Why is it important for us to use all organic ingredients? Organic ingredients, such as fruits, nuts, seeds, are grown without the use of any pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, genetically modified organisms, sewage sludge, or ionizing radiation. 

The USDA National Organic Program (NOP) defines organic as follows:

Organic food is produced by farmers who emphasize the use of renewable resources and the conservation of soil and water to enhance environmental quality for future generations. Organic meat, poultry, eggs, and dairy products come from animals that are given no antibiotics or growth hormones. Organic food is produced without using most conventional pesticides; fertilizers made with synthetic ingredients or sewage sludge; bioengineering; or ionizing radiation. Before a product can be labeled "organic," a Government-approved certifier inspects the farm where the food is grown to make sure the farmer is following all the rules necessary to meet USDA organic standards. Companies that handle or process organic food before it gets to your local supermarket or restaurant must be certified, too.
